Resistance A quantity defining the degree to which a device, or portion of a circuit, limits the flow of current. All electronic components display at least some tiny amount of electrical resistance as a result of their internal composition; other components (i.e., various flavors of resistors) are designed specifically to produce given resistance characteristics.
